Autograph letter signed : London, to John Ruskin, "St. Valentine his foolish day" [1883] Feb. 14.

Discussing his attempts to persuade Morris to work in glass; suggesting that they could have a kiln "(a little one we could keep in the parlour) and could make little bits to our hearts content;" discussing the thickness of older glass; acknowledging that Ruskin is in Coniston but wishing he were in London; saying "that comes of being rich and having more homes than one, that I never know where you are. In the next life, my friend shall be poor and live next door to me."
